Memcached in Cloud Hosting
The Memcached memory caching system is offered as an optional upgrade with every Linux cloud hosting that we are offering and you can start using it the moment you enable it, as the PHP extension that it requires in order to function properly is already available on our cutting-edge cloud website hosting platform. You can request the upgrade from the Hepsia Control Panel, which comes bundled with each and every shared hosting plan and a brand new Control Panel section where you can administer Memcached will show up. The upgrade is subdivided into two parts – the number of instances and the amount of system memory, so as to offer you more freedom. The first one shows the number of the Internet sites that can use Memcached, while the second, which is available in increments of 16 megabytes, specifies the maximum size of the content that the system can cache. A traffic-intensive site with a large database may need more memory in order to take an even bigger advantage of Memcached, so if you’d like to upgrade this service, you will be able to do it at any time with a couple of mouse clicks.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you decide to host your websites in a semi-dedicated server account, you will be able to take advantage of Memcached with ease, as the data caching platform’s activation requires several clicks from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The required PHP extension is pre-installed on our servers, so you can begin using the Memcached caching platform the moment you add it to your account. You will be able to choose how many websites can use it and how much data it will cache, in other words – there’re two separate upgradable features – the number of instances and the amount of system memory. You can add more of both, so if one of your Internet sites becomes extremely popular, for instance, you can always order more memory. Our system is incredibly flexible in this regard and we do not tie a specific number of instances to a pre-defined amount of system memory. You can use the Memcached platform to improve the speed of any script-powered site, including those based on famous web apps, such as Joomla™ or WordPress.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached is included by default with each and every VPS server that we are offering on the condition that you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you won’t need to pay any extra money to be able to take advantage of the potential of this object caching system. The more powerful Virtual Private Server package you choose, the more system memory Memcached will have for information caching purposes, but you’ll have at least several hundred MB at all times, which is much more than what you would get with a shared plan. This will allow you to use the Memcached caching system for lots of Internet sites, regardless of how large they are, which in turn means that you can use a low-end package for them without overloading the Virtual Private Server. The Memcached caching system is excellent for script-based applications such as WordPress, OpenCart, Joomla™ or Mambo, and you can utilize it even with a custom-developed app. Soon after you enable the Memcached caching system, it will start caching info and you will observe the enhanced overall performance of your sites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Each dedicated server that’s ordered with our Hepsia Control Panel comes with Memcached pre-installed by default, so you can start using this object caching system as soon as the dedicated server is completely ready, without having to upgrade or activate anything. The amount of memory that Memcached can use depends on the very server that you have picked, but since our servers are rather powerful and considering the fact that it’s likely that you will host resource-hungry websites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the system can use will be three gigabytes. This will allow you to optimize the overall performance of very popular sites effortlessly and you’ll notice the difference shortly after the Memcached caching system starts caching database calls. You can use the Memcached system with any database-driven site, including those that are based on famous CMSs such as Joomla™ and WordPress.
